On October 7, 2024, the COST Action 23137 Print Culture and Public Spheres in Central Europe (PCPS^CE) was officially launched with the 1^st Management Committee Meeting (MC1) at the COST Association headquarters in Brussels.

The meeting brought together 25 participants, including 19 MC members from Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITCs) and one from a non-COST country, setting the foundation for future collaboration.

The key goals were to introduce members to the COST framework, align on the Action’s objectives, elect leadership positions, and discuss the Work and Budget Plan. Mona Garloff, PCPS^CE’s Action Chair, outlined the objectives, timeline, and structure for the coming years. A highlight was the COST Action Café, where small-group discussions helped identify priorities and align Working Group goals.

After electing the Core Group and other leaders, PCPS^CE had productive talks on Working Group applications, the budget, and timelines for the first two Grant Periods.

PCPS^CE was supported by COST Science Officer Dr. Emiljano Kaziaj and COST Administrative Officer Ms. Olga Gorczyca, who provided valuable insights into the scientific and financial management of the Action.
