An in-person workshop for Young Researcher and Innovators explores in a week-long academic training event the rich and complex world of early modern print culture and public communication in Central Europe.

Taking place 21–25 July 2025 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and hosted by the Faculty of History and Philosophy at Babeș-Bolyai University, this immersive program combines theoretical training, hands-on workshops, and cultural exploration.

The Summer School brings together early-career scholars and established experts to investigate unexplored Central-European bookscapes (1500–1800). Topics include the materiality of books, print genres, knowledge circulation, translation, and the social contexts of reading and publishing.

The program reflects the research focus of Working Groups 4 and 5, offering interdisciplinary insights into both the physical and intellectual dimensions of early print culture.
